Three Rivers Machinery is a family owned and operated Case IH Ag Machinery Dealership Group, located in Narromine, Gilgandra and Warren NSW. We strive to partner with our customers to ensure that effective and efficient solutions are provided to assist with the success of their businesses. 

As an Apprentice Agricultural Mechanical Technician, you will support the service team in diagnosing mechanical and technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the optimal operation of key machinery brands including Case IH, Case CE, and New Holland. This is a hands-on, learning-focused role that requires motivation, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. You will play an integral part in delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers while developing your technical skills through structured training and workplace experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults on a variety of agricultural and construction equipment (e.g., tractors, harvesters, sprayers).

  • Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and pre-delivery inspections under supervision and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

  • Support in the assembly and installation of new machinery and implements.

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to assist with troubleshooting and fault identification.

  • Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and workshop documentation.

  • Follow all workplace health and safety policies and ensure tools and machinery are used in a safe and compliant manner.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress, required repairs, and parts needed.

  • Participate actively in all scheduled training and development programs, including manufacturer training and dealership workshops, with a commitment to 100% TAFE attendance.

  • Ensure the safe use and upkeep of tools, workshop equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Report to the Operations Manager any situation or condition that could compromise the safety, reputation, or integrity of the Three Rivers Machinery brand.
