We are looking for a Precision Ag Specialist to join our team.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide excellent service, technical diagnostics and support to our service team and customers with their precision farming AFS systems. It is a varied role and will require an enthusiastic and intuitive person who has exceptional electrical, technical and attention to detail skills.
This role would be primarily office based to support our technicians who are based in our workshops and in field to meet the needs of our customers.
About the Job:
Serve as a technical specialist relative to all precision farming products offered and supported by the dealership
Providing exceptional support and service to our customers and our team
Diagnosis, updates and repair of precision farming equipment, predominantly Case IH and Trimble products
Participate in the adoption of new technology and product offerings.
Attend dealership sales meetings to give regular updates on the status of marketing plans, product changes, and/or customer issues
Promote and support mycaseih.com, utilising wireless data and data management within the Connect Account
Control and keep track of AFS precision farming inventory, working with branches on inventory requests
Provide on-farm auto guidance training and calibration services
Handle customer satisfaction issues related to the AFS product line
Develop and deliver employee and customer training for Case IH data/technology solutions and advanced farming solution options
Arrange for an AFS precision farming field days after wheat harvest to showcase AFS precision farming products.
Work regularly with salespersons to develop potential customer improvements per specific farming operation
About You:
You are customer service driven, an excellent communicator, are proactive, punctual and reliable as a person.
You enjoy dealing with a wide array of people daily and are interested in continually building your knowledge base in the industry.
You have experience and knowledge of mechanical, electrical and IT systems. You can troubleshoot and demonstrate diagnosing skills. You have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and enjoy continually building your knowledge base around the agricultural industry.
You enjoy working autonomously whilst being part of a bigger team and have the ability to work well under pressure and keep your cool in busy seasonal periods.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant Trade Certificate or equivalent experience
Extensive knowledge or electrical systems and/or Auto Electrical
Previous experience in precision agriculture systems is essential
Working knowledge of GPS systems, both guidance and yield monitoring with an emphasis on Case IH offerings is highly advantageous (or any other large Ag Machinery brand)
Precision farming experience
Forklift License desirable
Extensive and ongoing skills training will be provided and a competitive remuneration package is on offer to the right applicant, commensurate with attitude and experience.
